While the pandemic still ravages some parts of the world, he is one of the brave souls picking up his tools and getting back into the swing of life, kicking it off with a tour beginning in 2022.
What inspires you?
I never wait for inspiration to come, I always create my own inspiration. I have learned the hard way through trial and error.
I love to meet new people and to travel.
I am always trying to find a “magic vibe” if you know what I mean? You bump into someone and your whole life is changing completely, you get pulled in to someones universe, it can be a wonderful and mystic thing.
What is the next “cool “thing we can expect from you?
I am doing a promotion tour around Europe in 2022, in my 7 meter long Mercedes Sprinter.
I bring full equipment for the concerts.
I am also bringing a powerful electric generator so I can organize and take spontaneous concerts on the road, create live concerts and dance parties outdoors in the forrest or on the beach.
Make big romantic bonfires and dance the whole night.
My music ranges from quiet acoustic folk songs to Pop, rock and I also mix in alternative instruments like a 432 hertz frequency Handpan and dancebeats with meditative feeling.
Of course we have to follow the rules and restrictions, but like I always ask myself: is the glass half full or half empty.
I have an entrepreneurial spirit and I try to see opportunity’s instead of the dark weird stuff that is happening around the world now.
As a solo artist Steffan Rundquist has dropped a lot of songs over the years, his latest single is an upbeat English-language EDM banger.
His band ‘Undrop’ released numerous successful singles and albums throughout the 90s.
We are still playing together with ‘Undrop’, and we have some big festivals next summer,
‘Undrop’ is a down to earth romantic band from Spain-Sweden.
Under many years ‘Undrop’ played in the streets developing our unique musical style.
‘Undrop’ have played and lived in countries like England, USA, Spain, Germany, India, Denmark, Polen, Guatemala, France, Mexico.
Since 2015 ‘Undrop’ have been on 63.000 different playlists on Spotify.
Undrop had several hits and sold gold and platinum with songs like TRAIN, WAKE ME UP and more.
Next ‘Undrop’ concert is the 18-June-2022 in IFEMA Festival de los 90s in Madrid Spain and Mombeltran music festival in the Gredos mountains near Avila.
What would you say is your songwriting process?
Create your own inspiration, never sit and wait for other people to inspire you.
I record ideas on my phone or write them down on a piece of paper.
I need to take time to write a song, its like giving birth, I push myself a lot, I am just sitting and repeating the melodies, singing the same thing over and over changing the chords and melodies a bit here and a bit there.
My creative process is like that until the melody and chords are ready.
I do the lyrics on a completely different day maybe on a train or in a cafe.
I am no stranger to the road-life and I am a strong believer in KARMA, action-reaction so I try to plant positive seeds every day.
