Meet Monica Coleman, the founder and CEO of INSIDE CAPITOL HILL, INC. has had a truly remarkable journey as a business person. Throughout her 65 years, she has dedicated her life to helping others and making the world a better place for everyone. Her passion for learning and exploring has helped her to build a successful career in the entertainment, finance, and political consulting industries. Her secret to success is simple: she develops one program at a time and takes with her the lessons she has learned from each venture. This approach has helped her to continually improve her business and achieve her goals.
Monica’s journey began in the entertainment industry when she was just a young girl. She quickly learned the importance of being open, learning from those around her, and carrying that knowledge with her to the next step. She also discovered the value of attending networking events and building strong connections.
At 24, Monica met her husband, an accomplished scientist. She realized that in order to be on his level, she would need to leave the entertainment industry and pursue a better education. This led her to attend The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, where she graduated in two and a half years with a 3.7 grade point average and a specialization in Business & Economics. She also went on to achieve a Law Degree from The University of Maryland.
After college, Monica worked in the financial markets for 20 years. She started as a broker, then an advisor, and finally owned her own company. However, she decided to retire from the finance industry in order to pursue her passion for business and political consulting in the nation’s capital. In Washington DC, she was able to build an extensive network of resources through her 60 years of experience in the business and political industry. She incorporated her business, Inside Capitol Hill, Inc., in 2014 and has been providing services to businesses, non-profits, government, and politics ever since.
Today, Monica continues to work in the prestigious location of 16th and K Street in Washington DC. Her company provides a wide range of services including business and political consulting, strategic specialist, credentialed member of the press, A-List copywriting, issue campaigns, cause marketing, crisis management, and Washington DC political coverage. They also have developed a political training program for people who want to be a politician or campaign manager.
Monica’s business journey has been a true testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. She has achieved numerous accomplishments throughout her career, including receiving the National Thespian Award, becoming a member of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and receiving the Wall Street Journal’s Student Achievement Award in Finance.
Despite her busy schedule, Monica has also made time for her family. She and her husband have been married for 42 years and they have chosen to live in Washington DC, where they have found a perfect balance of work and life. They live in a wonderful place one block from the Lincoln Memorial, and within walking distance to Monica’s work. They are surrounded by beautiful parks, monuments, and wonderful programs, which makes their life in Washington DC truly enjoyable.
In conclusion, Monica Coleman’s journey as a business person is truly an inspiration to us all. Her unwavering hard work, dedication, and passion have helped her to build a successful career and make a positive impact on the world. She is a true testament to the power of perseverance and the belief in one’s own abilities. Her story is a reminder that with hard work and determination, anyone can achieve their goals and make a difference in the world. But, what truly sets Monica apart is her continued commitment to helping others and making the world a better place for all. Her selflessness and generosity serve as a shining example of what it means to be a true leader and role model. We are grateful to have her as an inspiration and look forward to seeing the many ways she will continue to make a positive impact on the world.”
