Malakai Weimer had 25 factors and 12 rebounds as Skyview held off Evergreen 69-62 to open its boys basketball season Tuesday with a troublesome highway win.
The Storm received regardless of a standout sport from Evergreen guard Dez Daniel, who scored 31 factors.
Evergreen had the ball down 65-62 with one minute to play. However Skyview’s Gavin Packer drew an important cost and Weimer went 4 for 4 on the foul line within the ultimate 45 seconds.
Zeno Calastas talled 11 factors and 6 rebounds for Skyview.
Damarien Walden added 11 factors for Evergreen (0-1).
PRAIRIE 88, BATTLE GROUND 61 — Carson Morningstar scored 33 factors and the hot-shooting Falcons rolled to a non-league dwelling win.
Malachi Patton scored 20 factors and Jamir Jones added 16 factors for Prairie, which led 54-24 at halftime.
Tre Cornelison and Brayden Andrews every scored 13 factors for Battle Floor.
HERITAGE 83, HUDSON’S BAY 36 — Jose Zacarias scored a career-high 29 factors because the Timberwolves rolled to a house win.
Zacarias, a senior, had 23 factors within the first half as Heritage (1-0) led 47-14 on the half.
Kelden Carney scored 19 factors to steer Hudson’s Bay (0-1).
UNION 57, STADIUM 42 — Kody Holcomb scored 12 factors, Noah Jones added 11 and the Titans improved to 2-0 with a house win over the Tigers from Tacoma.
Six Union gamers scored seven or extra factors. The Titans led 28-14 at halftime.
FORT VANCOUVER 66, WASHOUGAL 52 — Josiah Jointer scored 18 factors, Liam Cvitkovich added 10 factors and the Trappers improved to 2-0 with a house win.
Fort Vancouver led 35-16 at halftime.
KALAMA 51, WOODLAND 42 — Gavin McBride scored 11 of his 18 factors within the fourth quarter because the Chinooks pulled away for a season-opening dwelling win.
With the sport tied 32-32 after three quarters, McBride hit a 3-pointer early within the fourth to begin Kalama’s surge.
Michael Belvin had 14 factors and Jackson Gabbard added 12 factors for Woodland (0-1).
The Beavers went 0 for 19 from 3-point vary.
MARK MORRIS 75, ROCHESTER 26 — Dalton Stevens scored 20 factors, Mac West added 15 factors and the Monarchs received on the highway to enhance to 2-0.
GOLDENDALE 60, STEVENSON 36 — Brody Hatfield scored 23 factors because the Timberwolves earned highway win.
Stevenson (0-1) was shut out within the first quarter and trailed 25-15 at halftime. Goldendale put the sport away by outscoring the Bulldogs 23-5 within the third quarter.
Jude Travinski led Stevenson with 10 factors.
