Elizabeth Cantwell succeeds Kirk Schulz because the twelfth president of the college. The Board of Regents unanimously chosen Cantwell from a 260-candidate area. Cantwell has served as Utah State College’s president since 2023.

At Utah State College, WSU mentioned Cantwell championed educational development as scholar scholarships elevated by 10% and new training buildings had been constructed. Cantwell has a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the College of California, Berkeley, an MBA from the College of Pennsylvania’s Wharton College and a bachelor’s diploma in human habits from the College of Chicago.
