Tom Cruise opened up about emotional response at reunion with late Val Kilmer
Tom Cruise, who simply misplaced his Prime Gun co-star, Val Kilmer, recalled their final emotional reunion in a resurfaced interview.
The 62-year-old actor starred alongside Kilmer in Prime Gun: Maverick in 2022, after his most cancers prognosis and following restoration.
The Mission Not possible star remembered his emotional response in his 2023 interview on Jimmy Kimmel Reside, which is making rounds on the web once more after Kilmer handed away.
Kilmer, who performed the function of Lt. Tom “Iceman” Kazansky within the basic movie, died of pneumonia on Tuesday, April 1st, on the age of 65.
Seeing Kilmer on the set of Prime Gun: Maverick, Cruise stated within the interview, “I just want to say that was pretty emotional.”
The Oscar winner continued, “I’ve recognized Val for many years, and for him to return again and play that character… he is such a strong actor that he immediately grew to become that character once more.”
He admitted, “I used to be crying, I used to be crying. I bought emotional. He is such an excellent actor, I like his work.”
“I’ve at all times admired his work, his expertise,” the actor said at the time, adding: “We get collectively… we simply begin laughing. It was particular to have him again. It meant quite a bit to me,” he stated on the time.
