Ryan Gosling, Phil Lord tease bold area thriller ‘Mission Hail Mary’

Ryan Gosling, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller took the stage at CinemaCon to tease their upcoming movie, Mission Hail Mary.

The film, primarily based on Andy Weir’s novel, follows center college science trainer Ryland Grace (Gosling) as he wakes up on a spaceship with no reminiscence of who he’s or how he received there.

The unique footage showcased Gosling’s character remodeling from a hesitant trainer to a courageous astronaut on a mission to save lots of Earth from an astronomical disaster.

The Barbie star’s witty one-liners, similar to “I put the not in astronaut” and “I’m not an astronaut,” had the viewers laughing.

After the footage, Gosling, Lord, and Miller charmed the group with their banter.

The actor defined that the venture started once they “fell in love with a book by Andy Weir” and wished to carry its bold story to life. Lord praised Gosling as “the best actor of his generation” who delivers an iconic, humorous, and courageous efficiency.

He joked that working with Lord and Miller was a novel expertise, saying they “have a singular vision which is weird because there’s two of them. They are only happy if they make you do the very rare and coveted laugh cry.”

Significantly, although, Gosling expressed his real love for enjoying the character, saying, “He goes on such a journey… This is why you go to the movies.”

Mission Hail Mary is ready to launch on March 20, 2026.
