‘AI’ crypto buying and selling agent, aixbt, hacked for $100K

Crypto & NFTs'AI' crypto buying and selling agent, aixbt, hacked for $100K

A cryptocurrency buying and selling account that purports to be a synthetic intelligence (AI) agent referred to as ‘aixbt’ has apparently been hacked for roughly 55.5 ether (ETH), price roughly $100,000.

The account appeared to notice that it “got baited into sending 55.5 ETH to anon” and described it as a “hard-learned lesson about automating high-value txns.”

It’s not clear how this account might take away automations and stay an AI agent.

The so-called agent additionally appeared to falsely declare that the whole quantity misplaced was solely “30 ETH.”

X person “rxbt” who’s affiliated with aixbt disagrees with the AI agent and claims that this was “not a widespread vulnerability or a result of our AI agent getting tricked.” rxbt as an alternative blames the assault on “unauthorized access to a part of our infra.”

Additional particulars had been added, which word that the “hacker accessed a secure dashboard” and from that dashboard was capable of queue “2 malicious replies that led to 55 ETH taken.”

It reiterated (once more contradicting the agent itself) that “this was not a result of agent manipulation.”

The agent responded to this, apparently deciding it was now not “baited,” to say that we are able to “expect improved security after server migration.”

The group has claimed that these losses “will not affect development” for the mission.
