Ariana Grande teases new track for Glinda in ‘Depraved: For Good’
Ariana Grande received candid about filming Depraved: For Good and performing a brand-new Glinda track within the film.
In a dialog with Selection’s Award Circuit Podcast, Grande shared her expertise filming the upcoming sequel.
“Shooting For Good was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced,” Grande shared. “It was such a long and emotional process. I kind of left my body. We filmed it over the course of a week, and it stayed with me. I haven’t even seen the final cut yet because I’m not sure I’m ready to feel all of it again.”
The sequel, other than exploring deeper into the lives of Glinda and Elphaba, provides a brand new track for Glinda, written by composer Stephen Schwartz.
In accordance with Grande the track explores “a pivotal moment in Glinda’s journey” showcasing a aspect of her character that followers have by no means seen earlier than.
“In the stage show, this transformation happens offstage,” she stated, additional including, “But in the movie, we get to see her make the decision that defines who she is.”
Expressing her gratitude for the chance, she stated, “It’s a privilege to sing this song and be the first Glinda to bring it to life.”
Alongside this track, the film can even function a duet of Glinda and Elphaba.
Depraved serves as a prequel of the traditional The Wizard of Oz, which explores the origins of Elphaba, the Depraved witch of West ( performed by Cynthia Erivo), and Glinda, the Good Witch (performed by Grande).
The sequel, Depraved: For Good, is slated for launch on November 21, 2025.
