WashingtonBlazers’ Donovan Clingan will get second-team All-Rookie honors

Amongst qualifying rookies, Clingan ranked first in blocks per recreation (1.6) and third in rebounds per recreation (7.9). His 527 complete rebounds and 217 offensive rebounds had been most by a rookie in staff historical past.

San Antonio guard Stephon Fortress was the one unanimous first-team choice on the All-Rookie staff.

Fortress — the league’s rookie of the 12 months — was the one participant to get first staff votes from all 100 members of the worldwide panel of sportswriters and broadcasters who forged ballots to determine many of the NBA’s annual awards.

He was joined on the primary staff by Atlanta’s Zaccharie Risacher (who was one vote away from unanimous standing), Memphis teammates Jaylen Wells and Zach Edey, and Washington’s Alex Sarr.

Edey (73 first-team votes, 27 second-team votes) joined Fortress and Risacher as the one gamers to look someplace on all 100 ballots. Wells was on 99 ballots, Sarr was on 96 and Ware was on 94.

The remainder of the second-team picks had been Miami’s Kel’el Ware, Chicago’s Matas Buzelis, New Orleans’ Yves Missi, and Washington’s Bub Carrington.

Utah’s Isaiah Collier was one level shy of tying Carrington for the ultimate spot on the second staff.

Others receiving votes included Utah’s Kyle Filipowski, Detroit’s Ron Holland II, the Los Angeles Lakers’ Dalton Knecht, Phoenix’s Ryan Dunn, Philadelphia’s Jared McCain, Golden State’s Quinten Publish, Toronto’s Jamal Shead, Orlando’s Tristan da Silva, Minnesota’s Rob Dillingham, Philadelphia’s Justin Edwards, Washington’s Kyshawn George and Houston’s Reed Sheppard.
