Daylight Realty’s Jason Ng is setting a positive example for realtors. Originally from Hong Kong, Jason Ng immigrated to Canada’s West Coast with his family to live in Vancouver, BC.
With fears of war and a communist regime, his family took a risk to build a better future in a country they had never been to. This calculated risk turned out to be a great decision for the Ng family as they started out as realtors and became massively successful after years of hard work and dedication to their work.
Jason Ng recalls going to deals with his parents and driving them to real estate transactions when he first got his driver’s license. He says he and his sister were able to learn a lot because of their time spent with their parents. They got to learn the process as well as the ins and outs of the real estate sector.
While Jason Ng completed his degree in sociology and later picked up his computer science certificate as well, he felt compelled to follow in his parents footsteps. After all, he knew so much about the real estate industry already, and he was raised in an environment that taught him everything from an early age.
Jason Ng says he also witnessed firsthand the impact his parents had on their clients and their families.
Ng says that while his native language is Cantonese, he was also able to learn Mandarin because many of his parent’s clients were Taiwanese and he grew up around their children.
All of Jason Ng’s life experiences tied in perfectly together, allowing him to build the perfect skillset to buy and sell homes, and attract Chinese and new immigrant clients.
Ng says being a realtor is about developing a specific set of skills, but it’s also about learning how to develop your principles as well. He says it’s important to make the best decisions for your clients rather than pushing them into making a quick decision. The goal is to have the most satisfied clients over time and build strong relationships.
Being a realtor is about much more than making a transaction or sale. It’s about guiding people through the process of making an important life decision. For that reason, Jason Ng says he gives his clients a complete overview of the marketplace so that they can make the most informed decisions possible.
Jason Ng says he keeps in touch with his clients and it feels good to have a network of people who trust him. From a career perspective, this allows Ng to drum up new business whenever he needs, but overall it brings him a huge level of satisfaction and joy.
“I love what I do,” says Jason Ng, who goes on to say that he constantly strives to do better and to learn more.
