Viennese love cakes and chocolates. They have cake and coffee together. Their cuisines have sausages but also have trended towards vegetarianism. Vienna has its own vineyards and people generally prefer beers and wines.

Things to keep in mind while being in Vienna.

• Always tip the waiters in the restaurant. You should tip a minimum of 10% and be courteous.
• Even if you see there is red light but no cars or traffic, don’t cross the road since people in Vienna take highway codes very seriously.
• Don’t forget to stock up on essentials by Saturday night because supermarkets and shops remain close on Sundays but restaurants and café remain open.
• Don’t mix up Vienna food with German as people in Vienna are particular about their food.
• They are hefty amounts levied on fines, therefore be careful about your actions.
• If possible learn a few phrases and sentences in German.
• You are also not allowed to make noise after 10 pm.
