The Dallas Cowboys are coming off maybe their greatest win of the season, with Mike McCarthy’s squad getting one of the best of Jayden Daniels and the division-rival Washington Commanders, which was one of many largest upsets of Week 12.
Although the win over the Commanders was spectacular, the Cowboys are nonetheless heading within the mistaken route shifting ahead, with the expectation being that Dallas will seemingly wrestle the remainder of the way in which throughout the 2024 NFL season and miss the NFL playoffs.
Together with greater than seemingly lacking the postseason, the Cowboys may have a whole lot of areas to be addressed throughout the offseason, particularly at quarterback and head coach.
It seems that former Cowboys head coach and soccer legend Jimmy Johnson thinks that Dallas made a mistake by signing Prescott to a brand new contract.
“I would never have given Prescott a new contract. I’d have let him play it out… They’re so financially strapped right now. I don’t know what they do,” Johnson stated.

With the Cowboys struggling even earlier than Prescott went down with a season-ending hamstring damage, Dallas was questioned concerning the transfer to signal the veteran quarterback to an extension, and that noise will seemingly get louder as soon as the season is over.
It’ll be fascinating to see what the Cowboys do throughout the offseason in the event that they select to handle the quarterback downside in Dallas and if McCarthy has earned the chance to signal a contract extension or head to the open market.
