Kate Winslet has weighed in on latest rumors a few doable sequel to The Vacation, clarifying that it has by no means been mentioned.

“Honestly, it’s never come up,” Winslet informed Deadline on Friday throughout an interview about her new movie Lee. “I promise you.”

The excitement started when Winslet’s co-star Jude Legislation re-enacted his character’s iconic Mr. Serviette Head second throughout a lunch with the movie’s writer-director, Nancy Meyers.

Meyers shared the clip on Instagram, sparking fan hypothesis {that a} sequel was within the works.

Launched in 2006, The Vacation featured Winslet as Iris, a ebook editor who swaps her English cottage with Amanda, a film trailer editor performed by Cameron Diaz. Amanda falls for Iris’s brother Graham, portrayed by Legislation, whereas Iris finds romance with Miles, performed by Jack Black.

Though a sequel isn’t on the horizon, Winslet admitted she was stunned it hadn’t been thought of.

“It’s the kind of film that probably would lend itself quite well to a sequel, but it has honestly never come up,” she stated.

Legislation echoed an analogous sentiment, telling ComicBook.com that the choice would depend upon Nancy Meyers.

“That all lands in Nancy Meyers’ lap,” Legislation stated. “She would only do it if it was a really robust idea.”
