King Charles and Queen Camilla host rescue canines for festive photoshoot at Highgrove Property

King Charles and Queen Camilla not too long ago welcomed rescue canines from Battersea Canine and Cats House to their Gloucestershire property for a festive photoshoot.

The lovely canines—Percy, Darcie, Elspeth, Harper, Missy, and Shadow—are on the lookout for new houses this Christmas. They travelled from the charity’s Previous Windsor Centre to Tetbury and have been photographed on bespoke footstools designed by college students and neighborhood teams in collaboration with The King’s Basis.

Including a particular contact, the footstools featured cushions produced from recycled material beforehand utilized in Buckingham Palace and Windsor Fortress.

Queen Camilla, because the patron of Battersea, emphasised the occasion’s significance in elevating consciousness for animal welfare.

Camilla not too long ago bid an emotional goodbye to her beloved Battersea rescue canine, Beth, a 13-year-old Jack Russell terrier. Sadly, Beth needed to be put down as a consequence of well being points.

In line with the Every day Mail, Queen Camilla adopted Beth from Battersea Canine and Cats House, in South London, in 2011.

Final week, the King shared with TV hosts Alan Carr and Amanda Holden on the Royal Selection Present that he and the Queen have been contemplating getting a brand new canine for Christmas.

When requested if the Queen is perhaps tempted by any of the canines visiting that day, a royal supply commented: “While it’s a little too soon for Her Majesty to start deciding on a new friend for Bluebell, she remains a great supporter of all the work that Battersea Dogs and Cats home does in finding loving homes for all their rescue pets – not just for Christmas but forever.”

Kaye Mughal, centre supervisor in Windsor, stated: “It was a special day bringing some of our dogs from Battersea’s Old Windsor Centre to Highgrove Gardens. They enjoyed the day out, experiencing visiting a new place and getting into the festive spirit. They also enjoyed testing out some of the unique footstools and have officially given them their approval.”
