Kole Akintujoye, a Nigerian-born medical professional, entrepreneur, and philanthropist located in the United States of America, is well recognized for his willingness to assist those who are hungry and living in abject poverty. According to him, the lack he faced in the past, led him to set up the foundation, Give Us Our Daily Bread’.
As we all know, there must be an end to hunger in Nigeria. According to the October 2022 Cadre Harmonisé, a government-led and UN-supported food and nutrition study carried out twice a year, about 25 million Nigerians face a risk of becoming hungry between June and August 2023 if prompt action is not done. This is one of the reasons we must work together in order to eradicate hunger.
Also, the foundation launches an initiative to assist widows in Nigeria. If a widow is unable to pay for their own food, we will give her a payment of #50,000 (about $100) in form of empowerment. That sum will, as far as we know, allow them to engage in some activities. They will be welcomed and can come to the foundation at any moment to make their request if they ever need something to eat.
Several people have benefited from the efforts of Our Daily Bread, making their impact felt by many. The organization has emerged as a ray of hope for individuals who are unable to provide for their basic needs, and its initiatives continue to motivate others to improve their local communities.
