Nicola Coughlan’s member of the family shocked after watching her intimate Bridgerton scenes
Nicola Coughlan has not too long ago opened up that her mom was not snug watching her intimate scene in Bridgerton.
“My mother was so mad at me about those scenes — as if they were my fault, so I didn’t go to the screening with her,” stated the actress throughout an look on The Graham Norton Present.
Nicola, who performs Penelope Featherington within the hit Netflix present, talked about her mature character within the hit present’s third season.
“I realised I was 35 when I was filming the season, and I’d never played an adult. I was like, ‘How do I do this?’” she defined.
Nevertheless, the actress talked about, “[In] the first two [Bridgerton] series, I looked a lot like Spongebob Squarepants, very curly, ginger [hair], yellow dress, sort a of a tent situation going on.”
She defined, “It was weird having to play the romantic lead and then knowing it was all because — it’s a sexy show.”
“A lot of sexy things happen in it, and then I realised I was going to have to do the intimate things and I was like, ‘Right,’” identified Nicola.
For the unversed, the season three centered on the friends-to-lovers storyline between Nicola’s character and Luke Newton’s Colin Bridgerton.
Earlier in Could, Nicola spoke to Stylist journal and talked about well-known mirror scene from the present.
She recalled, “There’s one scene where I’m very naked on camera, and that was my idea, my choice. It was amazingly empowering.”
“I felt beautiful in the moment, and I thought: ‘When I’m 80, I want to look back on this and remember how hot I looked!’” added Nicola.
