Paul Giamatti opens up about returning to ‘Downtown Abbey’ after Maggie Smith handed away
Paul Giamatti, who’s reprising his position as Harold Levinson within the Downtown Abbey sequel, opened up about getting again on set within the wake of Maggie Smith’s loss of life.
The 57-year-old actor shared that Smith nonetheless feels part of the solid and the actors haven’t been in a position to register that she shouldn’t be there.
“It was not the same without her, but it felt very much like in her honor in some way. She certainly still feels present through the whole thing. Not having her there is obviously a huge loss, but everybody was still acting in her spirit,” Giamatti informed Folks Journal.
The Sideways star added, “Working with her the first time around was one of the best things ever and I didn’t even really get to do that much with her.”
Downton Abbey might be making its ultimate return for the third film, titled, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, which comes out on September twelfth.
The film is bringing again lots of the unique solid members, together with Elizabeth McGovern, Hugh Bonneville, Jim Carter, Laura Carmichael and Michelle Dockery, amongst others.
The franchise can also be welcoming new actors together with Alessandro Nivola and Joely Richardson for the upcoming film.
