HARRISBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro on Thursday sued businesses underneath President Donald Trump, saying they’re illegally and unconstitutionally withholding billions in federal support from the state that had already been permitted by Congress.
Shapiro, a Democrat, filed the lawsuit even though federal courts have repeatedly rejected the Trump administration’s sweeping pause on federal funding, and Shapiro’s attorneys recommend that the Trump administration is constant to disregard courtroom orders to revive entry to the suspended cash.
