BusinessRachel Carrasco on her success and helping brands grow

Rachel Carrasco, branding expert and luxury lifestyle specialist has taken the world by storm as she continues to build her empire. Carrasco has currently launched two f&b brands during the pandemic under her company RACHE and has recently been apointed the role of South East Asia Agency Marketing Consultant for Diageo Prestige. Her drive and empowerment to females around the globe has been inspiring.

1. Tell us a bit about you and your company/brand(s)?

I’m passionate about discovery, exquisite dining, and all things that make for beautiful experiences. This led me to create our key brands RACHE and BAKEN.

RACHE is a marketing consultancy that specializes in luxury lifestyle brands while BAKEN is an all-bacon snack and confectionery line.

2. What makes RACHE unique?

At RACHE, our most basic fundamental is to build brands through experience. When we create, we make it a point to open up new avenues of discovery for both brands and the discerning individual. We turn what is mundane and day-to-day into something more memorable and magical. To us, product is only a by-product of brand experience. Products purchased will always have a life span, but the memories that come with it… now that lasts a lifetime.

3. What would you say is the key to creating a successful company?

Patience! A lot of it! When you’re running your own company, and more so when your ambition is to drive it towards success, then be prepared to be in constant refinement. It can get incredibly tiring (and frustrating at times) but that’s where all the fun is!

4. What are your tips for helping brands grow?

Whenever we create plans for our clients, we always ensure that we:

• Know our audience. By this we mean personas or attitudinal traits over demographics.

• Have a clear unique selling proposition. A one liner that easily answers what are you offering?

• Tap into the emotional benefits. Usually, a key component in selling luxury goods as products are beyond necessity.

Keep this in mind and you’ll go far.

5. What has been your favourite mistake and what did you learn so far?

My favourite lesson so far is that… in life there are no mistakes, only lessons. Every person or situation you encounter is here to teach you a thing or two. It’s all a matter staying open and switching up perspectives.

6. What can we expect from RACHE in the future?

More brands! Right now, while we are continuously doing what we do best, we are also working towards the consolidation of our businesses so we can make room for expansion.
