Sumner beats Camas 27-24 on last-second subject objective for 4A state championship

WashingtonSumner beats Camas 27-24 on last-second subject objective for 4A state championship

Sumner regained the lead 24-21 on Cocke’s 13-yard landing move from Donavan with 9:12 left.

A 32-yard move to Jack Macdonald moved Camas to midfield on its subsequent possession. A 14-yard move to McGee, plus a 15-yard facemask penalty, put the Papermakers on the Sumner 12.

Davidson then slipped away for an obvious 12-yard landing run, however the play was negated by a holding penalty. That finally  led to Tyler’s subject objective that tied the sport 24-24.
