Demi Moore’s ‘The Substance’ received Finest Screenplay Award at Cannes Movie Competition

Demi Moore’s 2024 horror flick The Substance received’t be getting any sequel as confirmed by director, Coralie Fargeat.

The movie acquired rave evaluations from each the viewers and the critics, making it MUBI’s highest-earning film on the international field workplace. Demi starrer collected $34 million internationally.

Whereas addressing the potential of a sequel to the chartbuster movie, Fargeat advised Selection that she has no plans of creating one other film of The Substance.

To elaborate, the 48-year-old French filmmaker acknowledged that she doesn’t consider in restoring outdated movies relatively she considers presenting contemporary issues to the world.

Coralie is blissful to attend and return with one thing contemporary.

“No, the point of this movie is to present fresh things to the world. Like, no sequels, no prequels, no number two [or] number three. So, I’m going to be still happy to bring something fresh to the world in a bit”, she added.

The critically acclaimed film premiered on the Cannes Movie Competition and even acquired the Finest Screenplay Awards on the occasion. In the meantime, it earned an ideal rating at Rotten Tomatoes.
