WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump’s funds workplace on Wednesday rescinded a memo freezing spending on federal grants, lower than two days after it sparked widespread confusion and authorized challenges throughout the nation.
The Monday night memo from the White Home Workplace of Administration and Price range sparked uncertainty over an important monetary lifeline for states, faculties and organizations that depend on trillions of {dollars} from Washington and left the White Home scrambling to clarify what would and wouldn’t be topic to a pause in funding.
