We now have a trailer for the much-anticipated adaptation of Maggie O’Farrell’s Hamnet, which is in regards to the “powerful story of love and loss that inspired the creation of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece, Hamlet.”
It’s directed by Academy Award-winning author/director Chloé Zhao, and the screenplay is a collaboration between Zhao and O’Farrell. It’s produced by Steven Spielberg, Liza Marshall, Pippa Harris, Nicolas Gonda, and Sam Mendes.
The solid contains Paul Mescal as William Shakespeare and Jessie Buckley as Shakespeare’s spouse, Agnes. Emily Watson performs Mary, and Joe Alwyn performs Bartholomew.
