For a long time, Iran has been referred to as one of the most disruptive countries in the Middle East. The crises that started forty-three years ago with the change of the Shah’s government and the establishment of Jai are still ongoing. The supporters of the government first seized the American embassy and took the ambassador and employees hostage, then created terrorist groups opposed to America and Israel, and today they are trying to exert pressure by building an atomic bomb. But these crises were not limited only outside the borders of Iran. Their treatment of the people inside the country was far worse than the treatment of the international community.
. But these crises were not limited only outside the borders of Iran. Their treatment of the people inside the country was far worse than the treatment of the international community. At the beginning of the revolution, they first started a purge among their opponents. They made the hijab mandatory for women who were free for years and even controlled family relations by establishing laws. There was no independent foreign newspaper in Iran all this time, and finally, restricting the Internet and taking away individual freedoms were able to destroy the foundations of an active society. to take
On the other hand, the people of Iran could never accept these radical ideas, and for this reason, they have started small and big protests for years with various excuses to get rid of these laws. They came to the streets in 1988 and 1998in the form of student movement and 1388 in the form of electoral fraud and in 2016and 2019 in the form of livelihood problems and demonstrated to have the most basic human rights. And every time the government announced to the world that they came to the streets for only one demand. Then he promised to amend that request and intensified the repression, execution, and rape of the protestors.
Even today, the people of Iran are protesting against the entire system of corruption, discrimination and censorship under the pretext of women’s rights, and they want to change the entire existing system. . In the meantime, the government makes empty promises to silence the protests by saying that the Irshad patrol will gather from the streets. In this quote and not the law, it is not said that the hijab is optional, but it is only said that the guidance is collected. This means that women will be forced to wear the hijab in other ways that have been mentioned many times in this article. By examining the functional form of Islamic Republic, it is clear that the proposal of a simple quote by a middle official of the system is, on the one hand, to buy the necessary opportunity for severe internal repression, and on the other hand, he wants to reduce the level of protests to a mere hijab in the eyes of the international community. While removing the hijab is only one of the demands of the people on the street. They are working to achieve demands such as the right to freedom of expression, the rights of all ethnic and linguistic minorities, the right to dress as desired (not just the hijab), equal rights for women, the fight against child marriage, the right to have a decent job, the right to peaceful protest, the right to create parties, and the freedom of all activists. And the political activists, freedom from rent, poverty and corruption, having a peaceful country without nuclear weapons and also not helping their government to regional terrorism, have come to the street with the slogan “Women, Life, Freedom”. According to human rights organizations and activists, they have killed more than 500 people and arrested and imprisoned 20,000 people in the last two months in order to obtain these obvious rights. (The statistics are much higher and include children as well.)
The statistics are much higher and include children as well.) Detainees are forced to confess against themselves under torture and rape (not exactly rape) and then wait for very severe sentences based on the same confession. Also, many opponents who are still in the streets know that if the protests subside, it will be their turn to be arrested, tortured, and executed. In addition, we must emphasize to the above statistics that there are many missing protesters who have not been heard from and according to previous experience, their families will never be informed of their fate. Despite these dangers, Iranian people are still on the streets so that they can bring a better life for themselves and the world.
I know it is hard to believe for many people in American and European countries, but it is the truth is that whether we believe it or not, these events are still happening in some corners of the world. However, despite the many dangers, Iranian people are still on the streets so that they can bring a better life for themselves and the world community.
In the meantime, America and the European governments should know that with the support of the Iranian people, they will not only prevent the occurrence of a crime against humanity on a larger scale than what was proven in the International Court of Justice in November 2018, but with the change of government in Iran, they will also be able to create a crisis-free Middle East. imagine. A Middle East with fewer immigrants, more security and, as a result, stability in energy production. A Middle East away from nuclear energy and proxy terrorist groups. Middle East with Iranian Abad, which was one of their 57 business partners as in previous years. Do America and Europe still want to close their eyes? Do they want to participate in killing and torturing Iranian people? The authorities of these countries should be told that the people of Iran have made their decision to change the regime and they will win. The problem is that they will never forget their companions and opponents in this uprising.
