Vannah & The FoodStars aim to be the #1 YouTube Channel for kid-tested and kid-approved food reviews, ranging from healthy snacks, desserts, pizza to frog legs. Their YouTube channel videos are highly entertaining, with a generous assortment of slapstick stickers and plenty of sound effects from start to finish. They even have rolling credits at the end of their videos, which includes outtakes that keep users engaged until the very last second. The FoodStars include siblings Savannah, 10, who goes by Vannah, her big brother, Sebastian, 12, and her younger sister, Sierra, 4. Vannah is the host and, unbelievably, she is also the Chief Editor, which is no small task (even for big kids and adults.)

How she got started: During the COVID-19 Lockdown, children had a lot of free time on their hands. With today’s huge variety of entertainment options that children have available ranging from tablets, video consoles, streaming favorite TV shows and movies any time of the day, YouTube was their favorite. According to a recent study conducted by Precise Kids, YouTube was more popular than Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Netflix, and other platforms. In fact, YouTube was the favorite by a landslide. YouTube accounted for 85%, Nickelodeon for 21%, Cartoon Network for 20%, and Nick Jr. for 14%.

The learning potential on YouTube is virtually limitless. Kids can explore their interests, make crafts, dance and have a lot of fun while viewing and after viewing. With that, Vannah and her siblings watched hundreds of kids on YouTube having a blast. This led to them recording themselves and each other. Naturally, this inspired their desire to upload their videos to YouTube and create their own channel.

Savannah’s parents gave their approval, and she uploaded the first video of her and her siblings. However, after the initial video upload, she was incredibly frustrated, sad and dissatisfied. Her parents refused to help her upload the video, so she had to do a YouTube search to learn how. That took a long time to complete. To further frustrate her, YouTube flagged the video for “Music Copyright.” That really got her down because she used her favorite song in the video. Lastly, the video was terrible in comparison to other kid video channels she viewed on a regular basis. As a result, Savannah quickly learned that videos needed to be edited. So, she used her allowance money to sign up for an online editing class called “Wondershare Filmora.” This class taught her how to use YouTube Studio, which is a YouTube creator platform. In other words, she learned how to upload videos and utilize other YouTube dynamics. Savannah excelled at it, learned a lot, and loved it. Now, she is the Proud Host, Actress, and Editor of her own YouTube channel, “Vannah & The FoodStars.”

Vannah & The FoodStars reviews several restaurant meals, including the overall restaurant experience, such as service, pricing, cleanliness, and ambiance. Popular franchises featured on recent episodes include Chili’s, Denny’s, Slater 50/50, Mountain Mike’s Pizza, with more to come. They also write funny, unique and original songs to inspire kids to eat vegetables, fruits, and other healthy food. Children who watch kid-friendly shows featuring healthy food are more likely to choose a healthy food option than those who do not. This has the potential to positively impact children’s consumption of fruits and vegetables, that will persist into adulthood.

Finding safe, age-appropriate online entertainment can be a difficult task for parents because there are so many possibilities. However, Vannah & The FoodStars is definitely a source for kids’ content that is both amusing and age-appropriate.

So, tune in every week or every day to the #1 YouTube Kids Food Review channel, Vannah & The FoodStars.
