Previously reserved for American Express Centurion Concierge calls, USPA’s boutique-style VIP service is now open to all high-net-worth individuals and celebrities.
Prior to the fatal shooting of rapper PnB Rock in Los Angeles, USPA announced the expansion of its Titanium Service, a VIP concierge-style protective service available to celebrities and high net worth individuals. Prior to the public launch of the Titanium service line, USPA set aside a team of highly trained individuals to respond to last-minute concierge calls from Centurion card holders, also known as the “Black Card.”
Military Veterans Protecting Celebrities
A group of veterans who have transitioned to civilian protective teams have been protecting high net worth individuals in plain sight through USPA’s Titanium Service. There are many people who are unaware of this. It is likely that you will encounter members of USPA’s Titanium Service unknowingly when you visit A-list resorts, such as Eden Rock in St. Barts, Villa D’Este in Lake Como, Italy, or Velassaru Maldives. This team, which consists of teams working on security advance, counterattack, and counter-surveillance, along with their leads and escort teams, security drivers, and medics, is extremely subtle, yet highly effective at providing protection and almost invisible when it comes to their presence.
VIP’s and high-net-worth individuals: Risk mitigation
It was reported last night that rapper PnB Rock, a high-profile celebrity with a high net worth, was killed in a robbery. A USPA Titanium Program Administrator, Brian Fitzgibbons, explained that “Just like our executive protection division, our Titanium service performs strategic risk assessment and advanced planning for our celebrity clients, long before they arrive at events and even for a last-minute stop.” “What we call “off the record” movements need a preliminary check and the placement of a static surveillance operator before our principal (protected person) arrives.” Off the record movements are last-minute stops outside of the itinerary or pre-planned route that team members act on. Celebrity clients, especially younger pop stars, have a tendency to change their plans several times a day. This is why a 24/7 command center oversees and tracks the entire operation from a midtown NYC office. Titanium teams frequently use drones to capture live video feeds and relay the information to the command center.
